What We're Building
We believe Canadians have a right to know how their tax money is being spent. Rednwhite is building a system to analyze the financial records of every government body in Canada — federal departments, Crown corporations, every province, and dozens of municipalities — and publish quarterly findings on spending that looks out of place, unexplained cost spikes, or financial patterns that don’t add up.
We haven’t started yet. That’s what we’re raising funds to do.
Our Mission
Rednwhite exists to make government spending in Canada legible to the people who pay for it. We will audit every level of government — federal, provincial and municipal — and publish free, plain-language report cards four times a year. We accept no government money, so nothing we publish depends on the goodwill of the institutions we examine.
